Chillis and Us

Chillipepperpete has been around for about 12 years now. Before that we were called b.right.on (Brighton) Food Company where we use to make a range of vegetarian currys from around the world. It was doing this that we realised just how many different types of chillis there in so many countries, most of which we couldn't get hold of over here so we had to grow them ourselves. We grew so many that we had to find something to do with all that was left... That is where chillipepperpete was born.
When we first started doing shows and farmers markets we had to train the public in all that is chillis, before it was just associated with being hot and in currys, they didn't realise just how many types and heats there were, one year alone we grew over 100 varieties!! These days we limit what we grow and we are one of the largest importers of chillis in Europe.
The past 3-4 years have been so exciting in the chilli world, it has grown so much so that there are now over 10 specific chilli shows over the UK, which you can see on our events page. The first and still the biggest and the best is the Chilli Fiesta in West Dean Gardens, Chichester. More recently we have started organising our own known as Fiery Foods UK, now in it's 3rd year we have at least 3 shows this year, last year we opened the UK's first chilli shop with the UK's best chilli sauce companies being stocked as well as imported sauces too.
